I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I’ve been doing crunches for a year now and I see no progress.
What am I doing wrong?
I don’t have access to a weight room or weights so I need something I can do at home.

When you lose fat, you lose it from all over your body, so crunches aren’t the only thing you should do if you want your muscles to show through your fat content.
From what I’ve noticed, the best abs always seem to be on runners, so try that as exercise instead.
Running is also one of the best ways to burn fat off of your body, but not necessarily bulk you up, so that’s why you can see their muscles so well.

You need to have below 10% body fat for muscles to show, this may be your problem. If there is more than 10% body fat, the muscles will develop (you’ll be strong) but they won’t show behind the layers of fat. I say, along with your crunches go jogging, and add sit ups. The jogging will bring down your body fat index, and the sit ups are also a good variation on the stomach work out.

Well your problem is very common.. there are dozens of ways you can attain a 6pack without stepping one food into a gym.. 99% of a 6 pack is going to be diet related..
