Three Myths on Achieving Flat Abs
Three Myths on Achieving Flat Abs
Article by issa
Don’t we all love to have flat abs and look great? Chances are, there are millions of men and women out there wanting the same thing. When media is showing us the quintessential image of beauty, we can only race against time and age in our search for the best and fastest solution to achieve our fantasies. Getting fit for life takes a whole lot of work and discipline, and our fast-paced living stirs the spirit of impatience in each of us. So, we fall victims to many countless quick fix remedies out there in the market, only to end up frustrated with a huge pile of bills, or worst, being rushed to the nearest ER.
The fitness and weight loss industry have been playing on the idea of spot reduction and muscle toning. Who wouldn’t want an easy way out to looking healthy and fit – not to mention beautiful? Unfortunately, there is just no easy way out. Even cosmetic surgery can give you an instant sculpt, but after a few months, you’ll likely to come back for more. Just how much are you willing to pay to get that perfect figure? Remember, vanity always come with a price and for your own good, let it not be a very high price to pay.
So, before you pull out the cash ( or the card ) to invest on the latest weight loss and fitness hype, here are things you need to know in getting a flat abs:
Myth 1: Spot Reduction or Spot Toning
I have been a victim of this promise of instant flat abs and I turned out more frustrated than I used to. Spot toning exercises that targets the specific ab muscles are the biggest fallacy ever made. The reason why we have extra ab fat is due to our genetic makeup. It is our body’s survival mechanism, of storing fat and energy, protecting us from hunger. Our midsection is also the core of our body’s gravity, making us balanced. That’s why it is where our bodies’ mass is concentrated the most. The only way to lose weight and have a perfect svelte is to increase one’s metabolism that will burn those belly fat. Running or walking is still the most effective and simplest way to do so. Remember that spot toning doesn’t mean that spot is free from fats.
Myth 2: The Weight You Lose Will Never Come Back
There are many fad diets, exercise machines, and diet pills which all promise an instant reward: Weight Loss for good. The truth is simple, there is no such thing as permanent when it comes to weight loss. Your body is always evolving, where new cells replace the old ones each day. The only way to keep fit is to manage your weight and your healthy lifestyle. In fact, there are people who have gained weight after an expensive operation. Just because you had lost a few inches on your midsection doesn’t give you the right to loose your guard and give in to your unhealthy food choices. Your body is a living vessel that converts what you take in into energy, so you better be good at counting calories.
Myth 3: Ab Exercises are Great for Toning the Ab Muscles
Doing sit ups and crunches can raise your body’s metabolism levels, helping you burn calories or those fat and sugar stored in your muscles. Your bloodstream already carries these fats and sugar and it’s easier to burn fats in your blood by working out your muscles. However, stored fats found in your abs are different and much harder to burn. Doing ab exercises will help you be fit and it will help you have a good posture, increase your core strength, and lowers your back pain. But to burn more fats, your body needs to do more than just ab exercises.
The only way for you to have the flat abs you dream of is to have a sense of discipline. Slowly but surely, with the right diet and a good cardio at least an hour a day, you’ll help your body metabolize all those unwanted fats and pounds. Dedication is the only solution, coupled with healthy choices, to keep your fat sizzling away – for good!
Passion to live life to the max have made me want to spread the word on healthy living… besides, living life to the fullest is all about getting your dreams and sharing it with your loved ones, and making sure you have all that energy in keeping fit for that tough ride we call LIFE.

Don’t get me wrong, if you want to go to the gym, and can afford the time and expense, then by all means, do so. The gym will certainly help show you how to flatten your stomach. How to have a flat stomach:1. Follow a healthy diet;2. Maintain a regular exercise program.
The reason so many people fail in their fitness goals is that they don’t know that eating right is the most important thing.
Before you start your workout plan, take a look at your diet. Are their places where you can cut out a little fat? What about a lot of fat? No matter how much you exercise, if you don’t maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet, you’re setting yourself up to fail before you’ve even begun, and that’s not how to have a flat stomach.
The diet for removing stomach fat? Cut the fat, eat only carbs from whole grains, and bulk up those stomach muscles on lean protein such as soy. A typical meal should include good carbs, lean protein, and fruits or vegetables. Try to avoid fatty meats and dairy products as they will just add to the tummy bulge.
Your exercise routine can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. Exercise for at least 180 minutes per week. Running, yoga, swimming, or walking are great cardio workouts. Work hard, but don’t over do it. An hour at a time is fine.
Remember, eating right, exercising, and hard work are all it takes. Soon, you’ll be showing off that flat stomach of yours, and when people ask you how you got your flat stomach, you can tell them that it’s easy when you know the trick.

Toned Abs – Females With Six-Pack Abs Look Better
Toned Abs – Females With Six-Pack Abs Look Better
Article by Six Pack Dan
Are females with six-pack abs a rare breed? Today, there are more than a few ways to get toned abs. The top 3 ways are through fat burning, getting our body to burn fat more efficiently and mentally programming ourselves to successfully getting toned abs.
A natural deterrent to females getting toned, six-pack abs is the layer of fat underneath the skin. This makes up the majority of the total fat in the body. This is why doing hundreds of crunches will not result in six-pack abs although the abs will get stronger.
The older we get, the more fat is deposited in our stomach area. Females get more fat in the hip and thigh areas as well. On top of this, metabolism starts slowing down. No wonder we start getting the belly bulge.
Cardiovascular exercises offer the most excellent ways of losing that belly bulge. Engaging in swimming, cycling, hiking, running, rollerblading, tennis and other active sports elevates our heart rate and keeping it elevated for at least 20 minutes ensures heart muscle conditioning and fat burning.
Gradually, we lose the fat underneath the skin resulting in a tightening of the skin. We next start to lose the fat around the muscles leading to a less flabby and more toned look. This is the result of doing highly active exercises at least three times a week.
Getting our body to maximize fat burning capacity is the next thing to do. And we achieve this by developing muscles. Training the large muscle groups first, followed by the small muscle groups helps burn fat more continuously.
Last, but not the least, mental programming is the most important factor to success. The key here is inch loss. This isn’t a numbers game on a weighing scale. So getting into a piece of clothing now that was impossible to before means SUCCESS. And this confidence starts showing in just a few short weeks.
Remember, females with six-pack abs are not that rare. In fact, more and more females have well-toned abs. When you put together these 3 factors of burning fat, burning fat efficiently and proper mental conditioning, toned, six-pack abs are just a few weeks away.

Advice On How To Lose Weight And Get A Flat Stomach
Advice On How To Lose Weight And Get A Flat Stomach
Article by Robert Roderick
Whether you are a male or a female, the stomach area is one of the main body areas that a lot of attention is drawn on. You could have put on a few pounds or alot, and you will see that in most cases the stomach area will reveal many of your guilty errors over time. We live in such a world that appearance is priority, and this is seen all over the world, as new products are released that promise the ultimate flat stomach in weeks. Advertisers know that we as consumers are searching for a quick fix, and with this in mind they are making billions upon billions of dollars over time from people like you. Do these products actually function? yes and no. Those new pieces of equipment that claim you will get that great stomach in weeks are not telling you the whole truth. In fact, you will never obtain that flat stomach if just using one of their products alone. You might find this difficult to believe, but if you really want to get that great flat stomach then there is no quick way out. Yes, these excercise tools on the market will tighten your stomach muscles, but you will never see those muscles unless you remove all that blubber around your stomach. You can do as many situps as you want, but I can assure you that you will never, ever, get that perfect stomach doing that alone. On that note, below I have noted some tips and facts that you should know in your quest to lose that gut fat and tone those stomach muscles.
Shedding weight in 1 place
Despite what anyone tells you, losing weight in 1 specific area is nigh on impossible. You may assume that working a certain body part constantly will rid that stubborn fat in that area. Well I’m here to tell you, that you are sadly mistaken. The truth is that only your body can determine where it loses fat primarily and how it loses it. This can come from a combination of areas such as genetics and what output of excercise you complete.
Completing 100 crunches daily will give you that flat stomach
Guess what, this is not true. Yes, sure, you will form great abs by working your stomach, but you will never see them beneath that layer of fat you have. What you have to do is melt fat, and the best way to accomplish this is to perform aerobic exercise.
Eat less food, lose more pounds
If your idea is to shed weight as well as get that flat stomach then you will need to realise that eating food is primary. You may find by cutting down food intake you will rid weight, but this won’t last forever. Your body will get accustomed to this, and in some cases as time goes on you will end up piling on weight as you have halted your metabolism right down. Eat 6 times daily to keep your metabolism fast, and combine this with regular excercise to lose excess weight.
Don’t overtrain your stomach
Muscles need time to heal. Without proper haeling they will not grow. Recovery is a combination of giving your body the right nutrients, doing the right amount of exercise as well as getting the right amount of sleep. Excercise your stomach muscles for a period of 20-30 minutes 3 days of the week.
Those were some of my tips to help you get rid of weight and tone that stomach. Remember, there is no fast fix or easy option to get that flat stomach. You can pretend to yourself for days, weeks or even years but the truth of the situation is that if you want that flat stomach you will need hard work and consistency. If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is as some might say. Do the necessary research, join your local club gym, and get working, stick to the goal and you will get the stomach that you have always wanted.

6th abs food for your abs diet – Turkey and Other Lean Meats
Turkey Breast – Turkey contains almost one-third of your daily requirements of niacin and vitamin B6.However, do avoid roasting self-basting bired as they are likely to be injected with fats.
Beef- Beef is the top food source for creatine – the substance that your body uses when you are lifting weights. However, extra care and caution needs to be undertaken when choosing the right type of beef meat as beef itself contains saturated fats. Keep a lookout for rounds or extra-lean; sirloins and New York strips for they are far less fatty than prime ribs and T-bones.
Tuna and Salmon – These fishes contains omega-3 fatty acids and protein. The omega-3 fatty acids helps lower the level of leptin in your body. The lower your leptin levels, the harder it is your body to store fats. Therefore, consuming more tuna and salmon will decrease your body’s capability to store fats
7th abs food for your abs diet – Unsweetened oatmeal
When it comes to the carbohydrates that you do take in, you want to make the most of your allotted calories. Oatmeal is a masterpiece in achieving this feat as it is able to provide you with more volume per calorie, thus helping you feel full. Choose only instant unsweetened Oatmeal as preflavoured Oatmeal often comes as a package with sugar calories. Studies have also shown that Oatmeal helps to keep our insulin levels stable by sustaining blood sugar levels longer than many other food. Keeping the insulin level is important as an increased level of insulin level will slow down our metabolism rate and will promote fats storage. Oatmeal also raises the level of testosterone in your body, helping your body to build muscle more effectively and boosting your sex drive.
Preparation of oatmeal: Enhance the flavor of unsweetened oatmeal by adding milk, berries, cinnamon or protein powder to enhance the taste and made it a complete meal.
8th abs food for your abs diet – Low-sodium cottage cheese
Protein is the key nutrient u will need for any base diet plan as it promotes muscle maintenance. However, not all proteins are the same. Choose only slow digesting protein sources as it will help keep you satisfied for the longest, preventing your body from sending the ” I am still hungry” signal to your brain. Cottage cheese being a great source of casein protein ( one of the slowest digesting protein sources ) is able to fulfill these 2 criteria to being a healthy source of protein. Go for only low-sodium cottage cheese to minimize water retention in your body as far as possible.
An effective workout program only works well with an effective abs diet. As long as you devote attention to keep to your abs diet, getting the 6 pack abs you desire is no longer an impossible feat to achieve!

The Best Ab Exercises – The Cold Hard Facts
The Best Ab Exercises – The Cold Hard Facts
Article by Hamish Shephard
When discussing the topic of the best ab exercises with other fitness types, I’ve found the debate to be hotly contested and pretty controversial. Everyone has a say about the best way to tone your waistline. The internet and print magazines aren’t much help either – filled with differing opinions and, let’s face it, a lot of crummy info. And there are a million different ab widgets and magic ab2000 style machines of dubious quality being pushed on nightly infomercials – purely because people want that attractive and ripped look for their midsection.
However, when it comes to the best ab exercises, most are missing the point. The first step to a sexy six pack is to build a sound nutrition and training program that will maximize fat loss. I’ll go as far to say that fat loss equals toned abs. In fact most folks probably already have pretty decent abs underneath their spare tire but if they don’t choose the right course of action, even if they have the best ab exercises, they’ll never shed their unwanted belly fat and their abs will be hidden under unsightly flab.
If everyone just shifted focus from directly training their abs to a far more effective approach of carefully selected routines of intense whole body workouts built from compound (multi-joint) movements they would be absolutely dazzled with the results. And that’s because the best exercises for abs and reducing belly fat are movements that use as many muscles in the body as possible.
Exercises like the squat, the dead lift, the lunge, kettlebell swings, and different types press and pull exercises give your body a massive return on investment when you use them to lose belly flab. Use them in non-stop circuit style workouts, add interval cardio training to the mix and get your diet sorted – you’ll have a potent mix guaranteed to skyrocket your metabolism and shed stomach fat fast.
Of course you can still do specific ab work as well – it certainly doesn’t hurt. But it’s important not to go overboard with hundreds of reps of crunches and sit-ups (even if you STILL think they’re the best ab exercises). Frankly, if you can do more than 20 or so reps your abs are probably not working very hard anyway and will receive little benefit from the exercise. Try to find challenging exercises that have you working in the 5 to 16 rep range – that should work well for most.
For the most part, adding weight or difficulty to an ab exercise will produce better results. Easier is definitely NOT better where abs are concerned. Try movements like the hanging leg raise (or knee raise if you find it too difficult). Some people who can bang out crunch after crunch struggle to do 1 to 2 reps of a hanging leg raise with good form.
So to sum up:
It’s losing belly fat that will reveal your sexy six pack and not just doing crunches, sit-ups and the like. There really are no best ab exercises for losing belly flab. Just work on the building a good full-body, circuit style program with additional interval cardio sessions (I’d suggest separate days) and let a healthy diet take care of the rest.
Take care
Hamish

Best Six Pack Abs Diet – The Big Secret About Getting Abs!
Best Six Pack Abs Diet – The Big Secret About Getting Abs!
Article by Nieshia
Some people may wonder why their six pack is not showing as they work hard in honing their mid section, what they don’t realize is that they need a six pack abs diet to help them melt the excess fat away thereby revealing the underlying ab muscles. What concerns most people though is whether the method they will be using can be considered as safe. The good news is that there are some very effective ways to lose weight that are regarded as safe. Doctors even said that there is nothing wrong in losing weight quickly and following a good six pack abs diet as long as you do not damage your health in the process.
The Importance of Combining Diet With Exercise To Obtain Your Ideal Six Pack
Experts seem to think that you need to follow a very strict exercise routine of working out for at least three to four hours everyday to achieve your goal. Other people in the know agree that you could easily drop as much as 20 pounds in one week with the right six pack abs diet and by following a strict exercise routine. With a little determination involving some sweat and tears, it can be done. It really only take about seven to eight hours of intensive targeted training coupled with a good eating plan as part of your six pack abs diet, and doing so under a physician’s care.
What is considered to be the ideal way of shedding tummy flab is to take another look at your six pack abs diet and try something different that will give you the results you are after. It starts with the most important meal of the day, breakfast. Eating the right meal first thing in the morning can have a huge impact on your metabolism rate. It has been suggested that you make this the biggest meal of the day as part of your six pack abs diet to keep your metabolism rate high and give you enough energy to cope with the rest of your day.
Useful Ideas For Six Pack Abs Diet
Part of your six pack abs diet should involve staying away from any fast foods or processed food and rather concentrate on consuming healthy grains, beans, lean meat, fruits and vegetables. Healthier foods contain no calories and plays an important role in losing weight safely. Oat meal is a great way to sustain our hunger as it is low in fat and contain lots of fiber.
Another very good tip for your six pack abs diet is to make use of good fats as it helps to burn bad fat. Believe it or not, taking in good fat is one of the best ways to lose weight. Taking a tablespoon of coconut oil with your meals will help you feel fuller and would prevent you from indulging in sweet treats in between meals.
Key to a very good six pack abs diet is taking in about 4 to 5 smaller meals per day. It is a great way of keeping your metabolism rate high for the rest of your day and your body will burn fat faster. The main thing to keep in mind with your six pack abs diet is to set yourself a specific target or goal where there is a big reward waiting for you at the end of it all.

8 diet tips to get six pack abs
8 diet tips to get six pack abs
Article by Six Pack Abs Tv
You probably already know that all the training in the world is no substitute for the right kind of abs nutrition if you’re looking to get ripped. If you want six pack abs, then you have to consume the right kind of diet for six pack abs–no two ways about it. The reason is that unless you can effectively burn the fat off the top of those muscles, you nor anyone else is ever going to see the fruits of your labor. So today, I am going to give you five abs nutrition tips to kick your fat loss into high gear.
1. Get Plenty of Good Fat
It may seem counterproductive if you are trying to burn fat, but the right kind of fat can actually promote fat loss. No diet for six pack abs is complete without the addition of Omega 3s. The most common sources of these fatty acids are mackerel and salmon. You can also add Omega 3s to your abs nutrition by adding cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, etc), walnuts, and tofu to your diet.
2. Fiber Up!
Fiber is good for much more than just regulating your digestive tract. It actually slows down the rate of digestion for carbs. That means instead of those carbs metabolizing into sugar all at one time, they’ll burn off slowly and steadily. You get a more constant supply of energy and your body isn’t quite so eager to store those sugars as fat. Get fiber from whole grain products like oatmeal, brown rice, and 100 percent wheat breads.
3. Take Your Vitamins
Yes, your mother was right, even if she didn’t know why. All vitamins are important in the correct amounts for total body health, but I want to focus on 2 for your abs nutrition: B vitamins and vitamin C. B vitamins help to rev up your metabolism and regulate thyroid function, sugar levels, and energy levels. Vitamin C assists the body with the conversion of glucose. While you can take supplements, I prefer to get these vitamins from food. Add them to your diet for six pack abs every day with meat and dairy products, as well as with vegetables and citric fruits.
4. Calcium is Important, Too!
Calcium increases the rate of which the body burns fat. Since calcium is partially stored in fat cells, the more calcium in these cells the better the burning potential. Don’t go crazy with it though. You’ll need to get your calcium from low-fat dairy sources or you may end up gaining weight rather than burning fat!
5. Eat Healthy Fats
In order to maintain proper health our body must have healthy fats! I know that most big diet companies these days stress low fat diets and such, but trust me, without healthy fats in your diet not only do you increase your risk for heart disease and other terrible illnesses, but your body will not even burn fat as well as it should! Yes you heard me correctly! Fat burns fat. It is not impossible to find good fats, and here are some of my all-time favorites:
-Flaxseed Oil-Fish Oil-Primrose Oil-Olive Oil-Canola Oil-Sesame Oil-Various raw nutsThe best product that I personally recommend is the UDOs 3-6-9 Oil
6. More Diet Control, Less Cardio
I’m not saying to stop your aerobic training altogether, but cardio that is too often and too intense can cause a loss of muscle mass. Focus on your diet for six pack abs first then restrict your cardio to 20 minutes sessions a few times a week. Your workouts should contain more strength training anyway. Just don’t overdo it. You have got to give your muscles time to recover for best results.
If you’ll notice, most of the things you need for your abs nutrition all come from the same sources. That should make it pretty easy for you to get them all in on a daily basis and start melting that fat away.
7. Avoid processed foods and refined salt
Processed Foods:In many of the foods we eat, there are such things called neurotoxic additives, which are added into the ingredients to create drug-like addictions to these types of foods. For example, have you ever eaten a sugary breakfast cereal and wanted to eat the whole box even though you were full and not even really hungry? Or perhaps you ate chips or another snack and couldnt stop eating?
In order to stay healthy we must try to eat as many whole, natural foods as we can. My rule is, if man made it, there is a 99% chance it is bad for me! Not only can processed foods cause deadly disease, but they are a deal-breaker when it comes to losing weight, building some muscle, and beating annoying food cravings!
My advice is to reduce your consumption of processed foods, which are usually laden with deadly trans fats and hydrogenated oils, and eat fresh foods as much as you can.
Refined Salt:The average American consumes over 4,000 milligrams of salt daily, which results in over 200,000 American deaths annually. The American Heart Association (AHA) generally recommends that we intake about 1,500 milligrams or less of salt per day. I personally recommend no more than 1,000 milligrams of salt intake daily.
Not only can salt cause heart disease, hypertension, high blood pressure, and strokes, but it also causes water retention, which bloats most people by 10-20 pounds! Try limiting your salt to 1,000 milligrams daily and see if you drop a few pounds or more.
Salt is hidden in most of the foods that we eat these days so it is very important to read all labels and be extra careful when dining out. For example, some menu items at the macaroni grill have over 10,000 milligrams of salt in just that one meal! That is almost 10 times the daily recommended intake level! Add in a few more meals that day and you may find yourself eating 15,000 or more milligrams of salt. Be careful!
8. Limit Alcohol, Bad Carbs, and Sugar
Eating foods that are high in sugar can trigger a negative insulin response in our bodies. Now you might be saying hey I don’t have diabetes why do I have to worry about my insulin? The fact is, when your body has a negative insulin response it causes you to have unstable blood sugar levels, which can cause strong, addictive cravings for alcohol and sweets.
It is also a very good idea to avoid sugar, alcohol, and bad carbs because these three things get deposited very quickly into your adipose tissue, which makes you fatter very fast! I discuss insulin and your metabolic response in The 6 Pack Secret Program Manual more in depth.
Hopefully you can apply some of these easy tips to combat your food cravings and I hope that they work for you.
