Want To Know The Best Ab Workout For Belly Fat Loss?
Article by Hamish Shephard
It’s a common request: “Hamish, tell me the best ab workout for belly fat loss”.
Well, guess what I tell them?
There isn’t one! There is no ab workout that can burn enough calories alone to create a sufficient calorie deficit for noticeable belly fat loss.
As a self-proclaimed fitness fanatic and avid researcher of the best ways to flatten your stomach, people constantly grill me for info on the best exercises and workouts to shed stubborn stomach flab and unveil a trim and sexy waistline. While the questions aren’t exactly “wrong”, the issue is that most folks with unwanted belly fat think there’s some kind of “magical ab workout” that will whittle their waistline down to visible abs while still eating hamburgers and guarding the couch (by sitting on it for extended periods).
Sorry people… You need to look at the problem from a different angle. See, ab workouts alone just won’t cut it.
And while you folks keep spending your time and energy purely on ab workouts to get your excess love handles handled, you’re missing out on the easiest and quickest way to strip stomach fat – through correct full body workout routines that will do the job safely and effectively.
Simply put: the best ab workout is actually a full body workout and would include the following multi-joint exercises:
Different types of squat, the lunge, the dead lift, the clean and press, the snatch, the kettlebell swing, different types press and pull exercises, the mountain climber, the semi-occasional sprint, and more.
Personally, I’d use this list to make up the majority of each workout and then chuck in some direct ab workout stuff for fun. See, a workout made up of exercises from the list above massively increases the calories burned during, and long after, each session. And the more calories you burn the more belly fat you’re likely to lose. Sound fair enough? Great!
Please understand… I don’t have anything against direct ab / core work, but I wouldn’t base a whole workout on it because there are better options available to get better results faster. Whole body exercises elicit greater changes to your metabolism and hormone profile to create the best environment for fat loss. Plus, most whole body exercises greatly tax the midsection anyway – so you get your ab workout without having to do a single crunch!
Now you’re clear about exercise there’s another thing to consider, nutrition is probably the most crucial part of belly fat loss. In fact several scientific studies have proven, no matter how many crunches you do, if you’re eating sucks you will never get a flat stomach – simple as that. Strangely, I think almost everyone knows this but some choose to ignore it. The availability of sugar laden / fat filled processed food makes healthy eating a lot harder (and maybe even a lot less enticing) than it used to be. However, if your diet isn’t right the belly flab will not budge.
Summing this all up:
Crunches, leg raises and all that direct ab stuff is great as part of a whole body workout program. But steer away from ab workout routines where you’re only doing abs and nothing else. Go for intense full body workouts made up of compound (multi-joint) exercises combined with a sound diet. Stay away from processed foods and drink plenty of water rather than sodas. Do all the things above and you’ll be on the path a flat stomach and visible abs in no time.

5 Tips To Help Flatten Your Abs
Flat, firm abs are all the craze nowadays. Many surveys have ranked good abs as the most attractive part of the male and female body. So why does it seem so hard to get abs like that? Most people are going about it wrong and not getting the full effect from their workout. Follow these 5 tips bellow to maximize your results.
1. Focus on the exact area that is being worked while you perform abdominal exercises. It is very easy to allow other muscles to take off some of the load from your abs if you are not careful – the trick here is to isolate your ab muscles. If you are noticing that your abs are not getting fatigued after 15 or so repetitions, then you are likely using some of your other muscles to help out.
2. No amount of abdominal exercises will reveal well toned muscles if you’re padding them with an extra layer of fat. Abs are very prone to storing fat, and are, as a result, quite possibly the hardest part of your body to get toned. The key to exposing your abs is to burn the fat away from them, which you do by cardio, not ab exercises. Compliment your abdominal workouts with 30 – 45 minutes worth of cardio before hand.
3. Avoid alcohol. Modern research has linked alcoholic drinks with a rise in cortisol, a hormone which seems to increase fat storage around your stomach. So unless you like the look of a beer belly, alcohol should just be an occasional treat for you.
4. If you’ve lost your belly fat but still are not seeing defined abdominals, chances are that you have sloppy form. Doing 2 – 3 sets of 15 – 20 repetitions of a couple of different ab exercises every other day is sufficient to tone your abdominals, so if you are not seeing results you are probably falling victim to tip #1. Remember, 20 well executed crunches are more beneficial than 50 sloppy ones.
5. A final good way to train your abs is by simply keeping them contracted when performing all of your other exercises. Also, try contracting them while sitting, standing, or driving. Not only will this help tone them, it will also reduce back strain.
Keep these 5 tips in mind and I guarantee that you’ll start to see improvement in your midsection soon. Have firm, flat abs is entirely possible for everyone, but it is more than just working out – it is about being smart about it. The Abs Diet Exposed!
The Abs Diet Exposed!
Article by Kelly Purden
Developing a strong and sexy midsection – the type we’d find famous celebrities, bodybuilders and models flaunting – does not happen overnight, nor with some magical pills, potions, or modern gizmo. The Abs Diet, however, is a totally different story. From the outset, the Abs Diet looks worthwhile and provides a practical solution to curb the body’s tendency to store ugly, unwanted fat in the belly (the region where health problems interrelated with excessive weight usually begin).
The huge importance of diet and exercise, and how a person sticks to them, must not be overlooked, especially by individuals dead set on trimming off fat belly to reveal great-looking six pack abs.
In beginning a weight loss plan that banks on the dual elements of good diet and proper exercise, having the right mindset and tools will be the major determinants for success. We have heard about countless dieters enthusiastically embarking on a weight loss program but discontinuing in the end mainly because of the wrong approach (as in the case of fad diets). Upon closer analysis, other reasons why some dieters fall by the wayside as far as their dieting/weight loss agenda is concerned is because they lack both accountability and a social support system (which may come in the form of friends, workout companions, family, friends, or even one’s exercise trainer/coach).
When strictly adhered to while also giving time to aerobic and strength training exercises done on a regular basis, the Abs Diet can help steer the course of many individuals to fitness and overall health. The aforementioned types of exercise do burn calories, making the body burn more fat, but proper eating habits are just as crucial to one’s weight-loss and total body conditioning goal.
To keep excess pounds at bay with the right exercise and the Abs Diet, there are some handy nutrition tips you can bear in mind: First is to reduce high-calorie, ‘empty carbohydrate’ foods. There is no need to resort to a crash diet, actually. As author/fitness specialist David Zinczenko laid out, the ideal diet consists of superfoods that may not only provide essential nutrients but also help trim increasing waistlines. These include almonds and nuts, beans, spinach and other green vegetables, eggs, raspberries, and many more. While further studies are needed to link the effect of superfoods to reduction of belly fat that conceals six pack abs, we will gain overall body benefits in partaking of all the superfoods in our mist.
Bear in mind that all that blubber (belly fat) is stored energy. As such, it is essential to keep burning energy and to keep cutting back on high-calorie, low-nutrition foods. One must strive, instead, to eat more lean protein, healthy fats and reduce processed carbs.
Indeed key to a flatter stomach is to seriously consider maintenance of a healthy diet without reaching starvation mode, which only makes the hunger pangs that set in at a later time too much to bear, such that affected people end up overeating.
Women who constantly battle with excess weight are inclined to find the Abs Diet approach quite effective because it gets them down the trimmer, healthier path in no time at all. Individuals’ genetic makeup and activity levels, of course, may affect the relative ease or difficulty with which they lose and keep off excess weight. What is highly essential is to get a proven workout and diet program from a reputable company/individual. A real fitness trainer who has produced results may be checked first and formost before investing money on a highly promising weight loss and total body conditioning approach or method.

The Six Pack Abs Diet
The Six Pack Abs Diet
Article by Brian Shelton
The six pack abs diet is really a brand new lifestyle, and if you want that new midriff section, that is what you are going to need to get it.
If you’re like most people, dieting is torture. It is a huge change from your normal eating routines.
You’ve probably shopped around, looking for a diet that said it would give you a lean body, and that wasn’t unbearable to live with. You may have even tried a few, only to find they weren’t the six pack abs diet you were looking for.
Guess what? They were all misleading you.
The kind of food intake you need to get those six packs requires doing everything differently. It isn’t just a matter of what you eat. There is the question of where, when, how much, and why!
If you are single and eat out, you probably eat a lot of stuff that’s richer in calories than you would ever cook yourself. Sumptuous food is one of the perks of eating out a lot, but it won’t help you tone up those abdominals.
If you have a family to cook for, they can object to your eating requirements, requesting special foods that you are trying to avoid or even demanding what they want. If they aren’t on your diet, then there is no way around it.
What can you do? First, stop thinking in terms of diet. You won’t get that kind of body out of a diet, and a good exercise routine, alone, will not shed all the body fat you need to. You have to think about how you live, instead, and make your commitment to a different lifestyle.
There is a trade off here: eating rich food and having a great looking, healthy body.
If you eat out, do a little restaurant shopping and find places that will prepare food the way you want it. Ask if they will prepare your chicken or fish in vegetable oil instead of butter. Try vegetarian cuisine or Japanese food. They are both very low in fat and high in protein.
Chefs can be very understanding. Some restaurants will serve gravy, sauce, and salad dressing on the side. See what they offer that is low cal. Request uncooked vegetables. If you eat with someone else, suggest that they try your new restaurant discoveries, for a change.
Do you eat lunch out? Consider bringing it with you instead. You can eat a pita sandwich while you walk in the park, or do window shopping. Bring in vegetable sticks and fruit for snacks at work.
Instead of counting calories, think of those six pack abs that you long to see in the mirror.
If you are the cook, you can use the same techniques at home, plus a few more. Serve your plate as you cook, leaving out the things you don’t need.
Think of yourself first. If you are eating healthier, so is your family. If there is something everyone just can’t live without, use low-cal and fat free substitutes to make it. Always serve dessert when you are ready to leave the table. Take turns cleaning up, so you can spend the extra time walking or doing a few reverse crunches.
Remember, a six pack abs diet is a lifestyle. Live it, and soon you’ll be living with six pack abs.

If you want flat abs watch out for these myths
If you want flat abs watch out for these myths
Article by Suzie Parker
Everyone wants flat abs. And who wouldn’t want them? It makes you look disciplined and sexy. But there may be many things standing in our way of achieving them. Some of them are about lack of motivation, dedication and education. But most of it is because of all the myths that do their rounds, together with all the fads. Here are 3 of the top flat abs myths:
1. You have to do millions of crunches and other abs exercises
I can understand why the majority of people think that in order to get flat abs you have to do trillions of abs exercises, but this is just not true. Think about this, if your lovely trained abs are hidden by layers of body fat, will you ever see your hard work? No, right? The best thing to do then is to lose that body fat first.
2. You have to avoid carbohydrates
Eating more or less of a certain food group won’t make you lose weight; it will only damage your body. Ad your body need all the nutrients it can get, and carbs are excellent for giving you energy and keeping you full. The trick however is to know how much to eat and what carbs are better than the rest.
3. You have to do cardio for many hours a month
Cardio is excellent for burning away excess kilojoules consumed during the day. But if you do too much cardio, you risk losing your valuable muscle mass, and you need muscle mass to build flat abs. Stick to no more than 20 minutes of cardio a day.
So being aware of the many myths that do their rounds is key to losing your body fat and building strong lean muscles. Just remember to follow the healthy long term way, and your abs will definitely stay.

A Beginner Abs Workout for a Flat Stomach
A Beginner Abs Workout for a Flat Stomach
Article by Scott Colby
If you are new to exercise, or just have not been active in a long time, but still want to have a flat stomach you can achieve the results you want with a few simple beginning body weight exercises in a circuit format. These exercises increase your strength and get your heart rate up by taking little rest in between exercises.
In order to get started on your way to better health and a flatter stomach there are seven different basic movements you should learn. Once you establish the technique of these exercises you can move on to more difficult ones. With each of these 7 body weight movements, beginners should complete 10-15 repetitions of each, with very little rest in between.
Step up to a flat stomach: You can use an exercise step or even the bottom step of your staircase. Step up with right foot then down. Perform 10-15 reps and then move on to the left leg.
Push-up to a flat stomach: Start your new workout routine by including 10-15 traditional pushups. However, go ahead and do these push-ups with your knees on the ground then move on to doing push ups with your knees off the ground once you have mastered these.
Squat to a flat stomach: Lower yourself to sit lightly on a sofa, chair or park bench then lift back up. Complete these steps 10-15 times.
Pull-up to a flat stomach: A full pull up can be difficult even for more experienced exercisers. A pull up means pulling your entire body weight up and off the ground. Beginners should start with a rope, exercise strap or even a towel. Look it over a tree branch or other sturdy surface. Place hands on each end of the towel or rope and place your body at an angle with feet planted on the ground shoulder width apart. “Row” yourself up and down by pulling your body weight closer to your stable surface, bending your elbow and then relaxing your body back to the angled position. Complete this movement 10-15 times.
Lunge to a flat stomach: Use a chair or other item to hold onto for balance. Take a wide step forward with right leg, toes pointed straight, bend back knee, lifting heel of foot from the ground. Bring yourself upright and then alternate sides.
Plank to a flat stomach: This exercise is excellent for abdominal stabilization. Beginners should attempt to hold the position for 20-30 seconds. To “plank” lay your body flat, in a traditional push up position, but rest your elbows on the ground and lower your arms. Hold your body straight not allowing the center of your body to touch the ground, feel shoulder width apart and lifted from the ground.
Spiderman climb to a flat stomach: This exercise is also great for abdominal stabilization as well as works your shoulders. Using the traditional push-up position with palms flat on the ground and feet toed to the ground shoulder width apart; bring your knee up to your elbow lifting feet off of the ground and bringing your right foot as close to your right hand as possible. Alternate sides completing 10-15 repetitions.
Beginner exercises are easy to do, have great benefits, take very little time and can help you achieve a flat stomach as well as a healthy body. You will increase your energy levels and feel better about yourself and your day. Instead of worrying about being a beginner, just start doing them and soon you will be on your way to an experienced exerciser, with a flat stomach. That is definitely worth the start.

Needless to say endless reps and sets of crunches and sit-ups aren?t the most effective way to train your abs. Of course diet and cardio play a tremendous role on being able to see your abs. But there are a few unconventional exercises that aren?t considered targeted ab exercises yet probably work your ab muscles better than any other exercise. Here are a few of the men?s health ab exercises.Deadlifts – This is indeed a powerlifting movement but doing deadlifts not only works your abs and core, but you?re working almost every muscle in your body to some degree. If you want strong abs deadlifts is a great exercise to implement into your training regimen. Front Squats ? This exercise is considered a great movement for building your quads but due to the nature of the movement you?re working your abs and core pretty hard as well. You don?t need to lift a ton of weight and form is of the utmost importance. In fact proper form on any men?s health exercise is imperative. Cleans ? Performing cleans is another superior strength building exercise in which most do not realize how much ab training they?re getting from it. Tricep Pushdowns ? This exercise targets your triceps but also forces you to keep your abs tight during the movement and your body actually performs a short crunch-like motion. It?s fine to do targeted ab exercises. But if you?re frustrated with the results of traditional ab workouts as many people are, you should try something new such as the exercises listed above. In fat weight training in general will stimulate your abdominal muscles. Remember, it?s not just about getting a six pack; men?s health is also about strengthening your entire core.
